in a rush

things are pretty crazy around here, folks... i'm rushing to complete the Materia series until next Saturday and feel like a painting machine. not fun, but it is my fault. i could have planned something more simple, but, as a good Scorpio (Moon), i am always taking the complicated way. oh, well. now it's too late to start whining. sorry for not responding the last comments, they are all read and very appreciated! eternal thanks for your encouragement.

2 beautiful features this week:

- the more than awesome Natures Whispers blog, by Jasmine Hazlehurst, on the fantastic Festival of the Trees. she featured one of the wips of my Tree of Life, (never finished because i am a perfectionist bitch, but time is coming.) visit and delight in the fantastic selection of pictures and words Jasmine selected for the post.

- works + online exhibit featured on The Pink Panther Magazine, publication of the Pink Panther group on RedBubble, dedicated to promote feminism and the work of women artists.

I also have now a permanent gallery at RedBubble, and I am proud. :)

nice stuff and updates

inspiring interview with Sybil Archibald on Abbey of the Arts. enjoyed to know the website too, run by the photographer Cristine Vaulters Paintner. I strongly recommend the works of both artists.

it's amazing to see how bit by bit institutionalized beliefs are dissolving in the name of something bigger, which means a true spirituality and the real sense of religare - to bind together again.

my Etsy shop is up and running. had to price items a little above the price for direct sale, since we have to pay fees to list products and for items sold. I'm very pleased with Etsy's organization. setting the shops is really easy, fun and fast and they make you feel special as a seller.

in the skin.

last week I received by email a photo that made me feel very flattered.

yep, it's one of my works, The Chemistry. it was picked by sweet Michelle, an inspired artist from California, to become a tatoo. she told me that she saw herself "reflected in the piece", and that for me is really really rewarding. in fact, inspiring people with my work is the main reason why I do it. it's priceless to see that somebody felt so touched at the point of registering it in her own skin.

the tatoo is not yet finished in the pic, but I'll have new photos of the work done pretty soon. thank you, Michelle! hope your tatoo brings you lots of good things.
